We are scheduled, people! At this time in 4 weeks, I should be holding my baby boy!!! I can not wait to meet little Matthew :) At 33 weeks, he's the size of a durian fruit. I have no clue what that is, but he's roughly 4-5 pounds and around 17 inches long :) He continues to be VERY active, which just makes me curious as to what activities he'll like as he grows up...
Aron and I are doing good, just trying to wrap our heads around the fact that we've created this tiny person who will be here in a month! Sometimes we just sit and stare at each other, knowing exactly what the other one is thinking: "Holy S#!T" :) Looking forward to the weekend when I get to see my bestest crony Liz & her father! Love to all! ~Daisha

4/17/2014 3 Comments Week 32My bad! This past week has been rough, and I realized I forgot to post a pic of me at 31 weeks. Don't worry--not much has changed :) I gained a whopping 1/2 pound!
As for Matthew, at 32 weeks he's the size of a squash! Apparently, he's supposed to turn soon to get in the head-down position. However, with all the acrobatics/gymnastics/Riverdancing he currently does, I doubt he's getting in ANY position anytime soon :) Aron & I are doing little things to make sure we're ready (if you looked inside our cars, you'd think baby was already here!). Five weeks will be here before you know it!!! ~Daisha Matthew is the size of a pineapple this week, and his irises are now reacting to light! The development of a baby is truly amazing! I had another check-up yesterday, and we're both doing fine. However, I could use some sleep :) There are so many reasons why I'm not sleeping, and I can't fix one without exacerbating another. I'm not a fan of all the zombie movies & TV shows as of late, but I feel like I've joined their cult! Be afraid, people--be VERY afraid :)
4/7/2014 3 Comments The Family TreeWe love living in Tucson for so many reasons, but the biggest downfall is not seeing our family as often as we'd like. So, I decided to put up a family tree for Matthew so he can see his grandparents and aunts & uncles on a regular basis... The quote says: "Family: like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one." So true :)

It teaches respect & good sportsmanship, both of which I hope to instill in Matthew. I know it took more than a deep breath for a Bama alum to buy a Vols book, but family trumps all :)
4/3/2014 1 Comment Week 30...and more gifts!Matthew's the size of a cucumber now! I had another (yes--another!) ultrasound on Tuesday, and he's measuring 3lbs, 8 oz! He's about a week ahead on all his measurements, so even with him coming early, he should be good size :) He's also been blessed with more gifts! Check them out: From his Great Aunt Jen & Uncle "Oatmeal"! Also from Aunt Jen & Uncle O'neal From my awesome friend Tina From Aron's co-workers Sarah & Angelica--they rock! |
