5/28/2014 1 Comment More pics...I know you all don't want to read my ramblings, so here you go :) 5/20/2014 5 Comments 4 days laterAhhhhh, motherhood :) Loving it already! Here's a quick update on Matthew:
He started off on a CPAP machine, trying to open up his alveoli in his lungs. He graduated from that to a oxygen meter that humidified the air. Once he got to 2 liters of O2, he graduated to a lower dose of humidified air. He did so good on that today that now he is completely off all machines and being monitored for the next 24 hours! As long as his stats stay normal and his bilirubin test comes back normal, we'll take him home tomorrow!!! I promise to post more pics once we leave the hospital--I know you all want to see my gorgeous child :) Love to all! ~Daisha 5/18/2014 2 Comments May 16, 2014Welcome Matthew Aaron Enos! He came on his own time :) Seven pounds, six ounces, 19.75 inches long. He has required some help clearing out his lungs, but he had the CPAP removed this morning. Now he is on a glorified humidifier as a precaution. Other than that--he's perfect :) Mommy, Daddy, and son are doing great! Here are a few pics--we'll take more once he leaves the NICU...
5/15/2014 2 Comments Week 361 week left! This week, Matthew is the size of a honeydew. When I told my wonderful husband this, he said "Is that why you're so uncomfortable, 'cause those are pretty big!" Gotta love him :) The next few days will be busy but fun: last DRs visit on Friday, close up my Training Room later that day, pick up my family on Saturday, my bestie on Wednesday, and have a baby on Thursday!
Hope you all have enjoyed the blog! I may be MIA for a few days, but I will update the blog once little Matt arrives. Thanks for all the prayers, and keep 'em coming! Love to all! ~Daisha 5/13/2014 4 Comments Maternity photo shootWe had a great photo shoot with Stacy, the same lady who did our wedding photos. Daisha & Aron's maternity pics Enjoy! Oh yeah--9 more days!!! 5/8/2014 3 Comments Week 35...aka 2 more weeks!!!Matthew is the size of a coconut (sorry, Momma)! I also believe he's a little upset that he has less room to do his acrobatics. When I move, he's still--when I'm still, he's moving! Can't wait to see how active he is outside the womb :)
I truly can't remember what all has transpired this past week, besides more DRs visits & a breastfeeding class last night. During the last DRs visit, I had a non-stress test, where they hook you up to a machine that monitors the baby's HR and the mother's uterus for contractions. The test is only good if baby is awake and moving. Guess who decided not to cooperate? It's like he knows when people expect him to perform, and he says "I'm not having it!" :) I didn't want to be there all day, so I did what I knew would work: played "Happy" on my phone! Guess who perked right up? Little stinker :) I go again tomorrow for another round of testing... The breastfeeding class was informative. I told Aron not to go--I didn't see the point. Of course, the class was full of couples, with the dads asking most of the questions. Go figure :) Work has been light, so I'm taking the next 2 days off to go to appointments & get some stuff done before mi familia arrives next week! So excited to see my mom, sister, and bro! Taking maternity photos this Saturday--I'll post some pics when I get them back. Love to all! ~Daisha |
